I painted backgrounds for the second and third seasons of the adorably demented Nickelodeon show SANJAY AND CRAIG. Every few weeks I turned out about twenty finished digital paintings, along with title cards, splatter cards, and “gross-up” shots. Over time, our style evolved from simple colored line art with basic light and shadow into richly textured, lushly rendered environments that mirrored the show’s ever-increasing punk rock chaos. Here are a few favorites.
