Almost on a whim, I pitched a short to the Nickelodeon Shorts Program in 2015. What started as a years-long worldbuilding passion project became SLIMELAB, which I wrote, directed, and designed from the ground up. I oversaw every part of production, from casting and voice direction (I voiced Mr. Mainframe myself) to scoring, post, and coordinating with an overseas animation studio. It was an incredible experience and a dream come true: a gooey, chaotic, irreverent-yet-sincere celebration of science and slime.
Slimelab started as an art school project based on the idea of terraforming a planet into something habitable, couched in the visual language of the toys and cartoons I loved as a kid. Since then, it's been my sandbox world I love to expand on in my free time as an artist. Below are some highlights from the endless drawings and many, many different permutations of Slimelab projects over the years.
